RescueTime Take Control

Each month, we are delighted to introduce you to one of the members of Alkaloid Networks, a coworking space on the Eastside Atlanta Beltline.

What are you working on right now?

Our team is working on changes to RescueTime to bring it to new audiences in the digital wellness space.

Who is your ideal client/target audience?

Historically we’ve been most popular with the “life hackers” of the world but we are looking to add users and businesses concerned with digital wellness and health efficiency. We fit in best with motivated individuals, or small to mid size teams in larger orgs.

What is a common misconception about your industry or work?

We are DEFINITELY not a spy or tracking tool. Our privacy standard is extremely high.

What is your big picture vision for your business?

We want to help people get the best work out of their day and free them to enjoy more of the complete picture of life.

What is your superpower?

I am quite good and having a complete view of things that combines the high level down to the nuts and bolts, so I can solve problems quickly.

What is your favorite business or productivity tool?

RescueTime!! Hah, hard question for a productivity tool company. ;) When it comes to tools, I’m old school, I get a ton of use still of the oldest of the terminal based UNIX text tools.

In fact, Mark spent time sharing his best strategies for improving productivity and prioritizing your time while WFH. You can view the session here.

What book(s) should every entrepreneur (or everyone) read?

Cryptonomicon by Neal Stephenson

RescueTimeWhy Alkaloid?

Supportive, friendly, accommodating leader :) Comfortable space, reachable on foot and bike.

What advice would you give someone considering coworking?

Consider the flexibility and edge cases of your needs (visitors, etc), and think about how nice it is to escape outside from there.
