Since 2015, I Care

Welcome to Alkaloid Networks, where our story is as unique as the community we’ve built.

It all began with a vision and a pinch of geekiness. I started on a quest to create a coworking community that would not only energize its members but also foster a profound impact on their lives and work.

The journey to finding the perfect name was sparked by a simple idea: our community would be a hive of activity, akin to a bustling coffee shop where patrons enjoy their daily jolt of caffeine. The name needed to capture the spirit of a place that would stimulate and enrich its members. That’s when chemistry came into play. Alkaloids, with their intriguing bitter flavors and crystalline structures, are compounds that have a significant effect on humans, with many serving as medicinal agents. And did you know? Caffeine itself is an alkaloid!

The name Alkaloid Networks embodies my dedication to fostering growth through connectivity and collaboration.

A caffeine molecule symbol is proudly displayed on my monitor, symbolizing the dynamic chemistry I strive to create every day.

Since opening the doors in April of 2015, Alkaloid Networks has been more than just a coworking space. I’m proud to hold the distinction of being the longest-running, independent coworking community in the city of Atlanta.

My ambition extends beyond providing desks and chairs.

This is a place of inspiration and resources, enabling you to concentrate on what’s important: your business and aspirations.

Recognized as a Top 7 Coworking Space by Atlanta Magazine, the Alkaloid Networks space is known for “fun BeltLine views and terrace, showers onsite, and indoor bike storage; plus, flex desks available at affordable rates.”

Join us at Alkaloid Networks, and be a part of a community where every day is an opportunity to connect, create, and cultivate your path to success.

Let’s brew up some ideas, craft your next big project, and celebrate each milestone together—one cup, one connection, one success story at a time.

Atlanta Coworking Alliance

In 2019, Katharine founded the Atlanta Coworking Alliance (ACA) to bring together the founders and operators of independent coworking spaces to share ideas and resources. For several years, the ACA worked to provide greater Atlanta with exposure to the diversity of local coworking spaces and the benefits of industry collaboration. In 2025, Katharine decided to shut down the Alliance to redirect those energies and focus more deeply on the Alkaloid community.

Katharine is passionate about her coworking community and Atlanta as a whole. Feel free to reach out to Katharine at any point by clicking here.

One of the little perks of coworking? Not having to raid your own pantry every afternoon. 😉

Hot biscuits. Homemade cookies. Good coffee. Better people.
That’s the kind of coworking space Alkaloid Networks is. 💛
Not just a place to work. A place where people actually know your name, save you a treat, and ask how your week’s going.

More than just a desk. It’s a community.

Swap the coffee shop for a focused workspace on the Beltline.
Step outside to recharge or stay inside to grind.

Come try a day. You’ll see what we mean.
