What are you working on right now?
I am currently working on building new partnerships and relationships with maternal and child health agencies across Georgia, whether they are focused on clinical or community-based services, to make sure that Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition of Georgia is connected to as many family-focused organizations as possible. We are a Coalition which means we work with others to improve maternal and child health in our state for ALL Georgians.
Who is your ideal client?
Our ideal client is anyone who can and/or wants to have a baby through natural birth, c-section, or surrogacy. We provide prenatal, postpartum, and baby care education, advocate for equitable health services, and connect families to resources.
What is a common misconception about your industry?
A common misconception is that fathers, partners, males, grandparents, or anyone who doesn’t identify as the mother is excluded from maternal and child health. In actuality, every person of the family unit is important and should be included.

What is a big picture for your business?
A big picture for our work at HMHBGA is that every mother would have the resources, healthcare, support, and access to have a healthy pregnancy and postpartum journey.
What is your superpower?
My superpower is foreseeing all the different ways something can go wrong, so I can make sure I do it right the first time – HAHAHA! I am what you would call a perfectionist with improved and relaxed anxiety.
What is your favorite productivity tool?
My favorite productivity tool is called a notebook. If a good old notebook and pen is not available, Asana as task management software is the next best thing.
What book should everyone read?
A great book for every person to read is called Switch: How to Change Things When Change Is Hard. In a compelling, story-driven narrative, Chip and Dan Heath bring together decades of counterintuitive research in psychology, sociology, and other fields to shed new light on how we can effect transformative change within ourselves and the environment around us.
Why Alkaloid?
I chose Alkaloid because it is in a prime location of Atlanta, right next to the Eastside Atlanta Beltline and close to the I-20/I-75/I-85 intersections. I can get to it no matter where I am in the city. I stay because it is a welcoming environment and allows me to get my organizational needs met.
What is your favorite perk at Alkaloid?
My favorite amenity is the full kitchen. I can bring a lunch every time I come to the office, just like I do when I work from home. I don’t have to worry about having to buy lunch out everyday.
What advice would you give someone considering coworking?
Be friendly and open to meeting new people.
