Why create an Atlanta Coworking Alliance?
It’s no secret that our world is hurling towards a fully decentralized, independent freelancing market. According to JLL Consulting, 50% of people will participate in some kind of the gig economy income-generating role by 2020. More people than ever before have questions, needs, and requirements that have to be met if our world is going to adapt to this new kind of workforce with ease.
That’s one of the reasons I chose to create the Atlanta Coworking Alliance. As a consortium of independent coworking spaces in the metropolitan Atlanta area, the Alliance is meant to bring people, businesses, coworking spaces, and everyone in-between together. We mitigate the amount of time the citizens of our fair city spend looking for each other.
I also found myself answering these kinds of questions. While also adding in my two-cents about local businesses and other information that I proudly uphold as an Atlanta resident. I regularly recommend other coworking spaces in Atlanta. I try to make sure I’m up-to-date with their services so I have the best information possible.
I thought to myself: there should be a site that offers this kind of connection. That’s what inspired me to bring together the Atlanta Coworking Alliance.
Atlanta Coworking Alliance: Bringing Businesses, People, and Opportunities Together
As the coworking concept booms worldwide, I know Atlanta will keep pace. Statistics have shown that by 2022, more than one million people in the U.S. will be working in coworking facilities. When collections of independent workers sharing common physical spaces, there is tremendous potential for collaboration, community, and comradery in this special ecosystem.
People looking at coworking, have for very specific needs:
- Are conference rooms included?
- Are there private offices?
- What other amenities are included?
- How many people work in the space? Are there networking events?
- Where is it located? Is it accessible via public transportation?
And the list goes on. With the Atlanta Coworking Alliance, people can find the coworking space that is perfect for their needs. With the right resources, people, and support, now they can flourish in their role, grow their venture, hire new people, and make the world a better place.
So really, WHY did I decide to start the Atlanta Coworking Alliance? I did it for my love of people. Together, we are stronger, pooling our ideas, innovations, and talents to create a better world in front of us.
