Each month, we are delighted to introduce you to one of the members of Alkaloid Networks, a coworking space on the Eastside Atlanta Beltline.
What are you working on right now?
An innovation curriculum and design process for the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation that will help local groups improve health in 7 US cities.
What are you passionate about?
Communicating, storytelling, design thinking and coaching (especially women) start ups or entrepreneurs.
Why Alkaloid?
A dear friend joined Alkaloid and, at the same time, I sold a large project for my consulting business. I am in start-up mode myself and wear many hats (mom, boss, employee, wife, friend). I needed a dedicated space to wear my “work” hat and build my business. I love the people at Alkaloid (my friend sits across from me and is a great business advisor). The space is open, amazing, flexible and RIGHT on the Beltline. I regularly walk to Krog Street Market or Ponce City Market to meet clients. It is the best!
What is one thing that people don’t know about you?
I have met a few celebrities in my years of working in the entertainment industry. Some notable ones: Hugh Jackman and Ted Turner.
Tell us an interesting work experience.
There was that time when the water main broke in Decatur and I filled up all of the stray water bottles in Alkaloid to take home to my family. I’ll bring them back, promise!
What was the last place you travelled to for fun and why?
Washington, DC for a winter school break with my family. My son is learning about the American Revolution in 4th grade and he picked the city!
Meet more of our fabulously diverse members!
